HOW TO CALCULATE THE NUMBER OF SHEETS NEEDED
Identify the roof, side wall and end wall cladding, be certain to use correct lengths of metal in the appropriate areas.

WALLS
• Example: The width of wall A is 20’/240”, and the width of wall B is 40’/480”.
• Next, you will divide the width of the wall by the width of the profile that you will be using.
Example: 240” divided by 32” (the coverage of WS1) = 7.5 sheets
• The number of sheets you would need for wall A is 8 (always round off to the next highest number). You would calculate the
same way for wall B. Remember to do this for all walls! You may need to adjust the amount if you have a garage, but do
not add just the quantity for windows and doorways.
ROOF
• To calculate the number of sheets needed for the roof, you must first get the width of the roof in inches. Then divide the width of
the roof by the width of the profile you will be using.
Example: (Roof C): 42’8”/512”(coverage) divided by 36” (Duraclad) = 14.22 sheets. Round up to the next full number. 15
sheets required for one side of the roof.
• Ridge to fascia is 12’ long. It is recommended that the sheet lengths are ordered to the exact length. The panel is then lowered
to the appropriate overhang (1”-1.5”), this will allow for the required space needed for ridge venting or Z bar installation
with Prolok.
