PROLOK INSTALLATION
JULY 2025
Determine which flashings need to be installed prior to roofing panels (Eave, Valley & Prow).
1. Install eave flashing with a panhead screw or roofing nail.
2. Place sealer tape(Prolok) or small closures(Other Profiles) below the eave fasteners.
3. Align the nail flange edge of the first panel with the gable end chalk line. Allow the roof panel to overhang the
eave fascia minimum 1”. The panel must be 1 1/2” down from the ridge. Typical sheet length is eave to ridge.
Panel is slid down from the ridge and this is now the overhang.
4. After the roof panel is properly aligned,
screw down the panel in the nail flange slots.
Make sure not to over tighten the screw. The
gable trim is now ready to be installed. If
gable trims are not being installed right away,
place a few screws along the female edge to
stop the sheet from being blown around in any
wind.
5. Snap the second panel at the seam. Work
the seam together from the eave to the ridge.
Do not work the seam from the middle to each end.
6. Fasten down the panel by screwing the nail
flange through the slots. If the slots are not
located on the sheeting, screw through the
flange using the slots as a guide.
7. Continue installing sheets across the roof.
